Sophia and Nick’s truly amazing wedding at Lusty Glaze Beach, one of our favourite venues in Cornwall!!
Keith and I, always look forward to photographing weddings at Lusty, and when we met with Sophia and Nick, about a week or two before their wedding we knew it was going to be special! What makes weddings for us is people, and we fell in love with these two from the moment we met. To top it all, their family and friends, most of whom travelled from different parts of the world to be there, such as Italy, Australia and Scotland were just a pure joy to be around – such a fun crowd!!
Even though the weather was a bit on and off, overcast with lots of showers, and a bit windy, it didn’t matter one bit.These guys embraced it all, and without formalities getting in the way, we were able to just do our thing, document the sheer happiness that surrounded us everywhere. First time we’d photographed beach sack racing – and boy, this was such fun! The speeches were open for all – anybody that wanted to say something stood up and spoke, and had everybody in stitches throughout.
There was about ten minutes in the evening when we saw the sun trying to break through, and we jumped at the chance to go out for a bit and take a few photos – typical of Lusty to deliver such beautiful sunsets :) The most awesome party followed – the band, ‘Mickey 9s’, friends of Sophia and Nick, were incredible! Not often we see a band get everybody (from the age of eight to eighty) on the dance floor. What a brilliant day from start to finish!
