Best of 2022 and 2023

12/03/2024

A HUGE thank you to all my couples who booked me to photograph their wedding in 2023 – I am truly grateful! :-) As I did not do a ‘best of’ last year, I have included frames from 2022 as well.

2022 was a truly special year for us as a family, as my stepson Connor got married to the beautiful Claire at Lavender Farm. Keith and I could not resist capturing a few frames :-) Perhaps I am somewhat biased, but what a day this was! Looking back at the photos, it reinforces the importance of capturing a moment in time that has now become a special memory. Even more significant for me, as in 2023 we suffered a huge personal loss as a family. I have found it difficult to talk about it publicly, however I am truly grateful for all the support we received. The pictures I captured are priceless. I finally printed so many photos which are now gracing the walls in my house.

I have been photographing weddings since 2010, and now, nearly fourteen years later, I cannot love my job more! Every wedding is unique, and that’s how I like to capture it – I don’t ask you to pose for me; I just blend into the background and capture your day naturally. The most interesting moments are the ones that happen in-between the action. Those are the moments that one day will become priceless.

2023 saw me go back to some of my favourite venues, including Lusty Glaze, which is only a five-minute drive from home, the beautiful and unique Anran, The Green Cornwall, The Horn of Plenty, Carbis Bay, Mount Edgcumbe, Polhawn Fort, Cornish Tipi Weddings, and some venues that I visited for the first time, and absolutely loved shooting there – Sharpham House, The Lamb Inn, Shilstone House, Hareston Manor, Farnham Castle in Surrey, Gray Inn’s Chapel in London, East Soar Farm in Salcombe, Brickwall House in Sussex and Rodden Church in Somerset, to name but a few.

If you are getting married and looking for a photographer with a natural, documentary style, please get in touch to see if I am free for your date.

Here are 200 photos from the past couple of years – just a small selection from over 40,000 images delivered. My initial selection was close to 1,000 photos, but I picked these because they resonate with me due to the humour, light, moment…

Enjoy :-)
