Megan & Jay. The Green Cornwall Elopement Wedding.

19/02/2016

Weddings are about people, about their stories. This is the story of Megan and Jay, and their intimate, elopement wedding at The Green Cornwall, on a sunny Autumn day in October. Even though we hadn’t met with Megan and Jay before the wedding, we felt as we were photographing two long lost friends. They are just the most wonderful couple!

The Green is a fantastic wedding venue in Cornwall, formerly a dairy farm, surrounded by the most beautiful meadows and a lake. Megan and Jay had their outdoor wedding ceremony at the wedding arbor by the lakeside. Their parents had flown all the way from Australia for the wedding, and hadn’t seen each other for three years prior to this. There wasn’t a dry eye during the service.

After such an emotional ceremony, everything unfolded spontaneously. An extremely special time – so emotional, and a true privilege to capture. Some beers and champagne followed on the lawn by the house, in a lovely setting decorated by Megan. She also made all flower arrangements, including her bouquet. I’m sure you’ll agree, she’s such a talented florist! After a few drinks whilst soaking in the sunshine, we spent some time with Megan and Jay exploring the grounds for some portraits, and we had such great fun together :)

Below are Megan’s lovely words to us after we sent them the photos.

“They are so beautiful, thank you so much!! You are both wonderful and your work is gorgeous. We all had such a great time, and looking at the photos made us remember all the fun little things as well as the big things… We are truly thrilled with them :) and so many people we have shown, have said how unique your photography is and that they all look so perfect! You guys are amazing. Thanks again for everything, you made our day!”

Here’s a selection of photographs from their amazing Cornwall elopement wedding… :) If you are planning a wedding at The Green Cornwall (or anywhere else of course), please feel free to get in touch with us.
